Thursday, December 2nd, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, the Plaza at Bridgeport will come alive with holiday cheer with the First Annual Grand Illumination Holiday Market! We encourage you to join in the spirit of giving and donate a new coat or unwrapped toy for a child in need at the Holiday Market.
Begin your evening with the irresistible taste & smells of hot apple cider, coffee, and hot chocolate from Knotts Coffee Company. Then get a jump on your shopping list by visiting our local vendors positioned throughout the Plaza while enjoying the holiday sounds of the Doorway Singers!
Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive on a magical horse-drawn carriage at 5:00 pm. Couples, families, and friends will be able to enjoy carriage rides throughout Bridgeport to view the holiday lights and enjoy the merriment. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for secret swapping and photos until 8:00 pm. Snap your pictures or have them taken professionally for a small fee. While parents wait in line for a snapshot with the Claus’, children can gather around the Suffolk Story Tellers and listen to readings of holiday classics old and new.
At 6:00 pm, we will all gather around as the Carolers lead us in “Deck the Halls,” and the Grand Illumination commences. Knotts Coffee will be passing out small tastes of warm apple cider to toast to the joyous occasion! Then, travel over to the Reindeer Buffet & Holiday Crafting table to create a one-of-a-kind creation. Finally, when the clock strikes 6:30 pm, the Reindeer Dog Parade will begin. May the most dashing Reindog win!
The rest of the evening is yours to enjoy; we hope that the magic tonight sparks feelings of joy!
