Virginia's Daughter Bridal Boutique coming to Bridgeport
BECO announces that Virginia’s Daughter Bridal Boutique has leased 1,586 square feet of space at 1301 Bridgeport Way for a location within Bridgeport mixed-use development on Bridge Road.
Virginia’s Daughter, is locally owned and operated by two Suffolk residents, Allison Alderman and Denise Janowiak. The two are operating a bridal boutique for the first time, but have 10 years of combined business ownership and retail management experience. It has been Allison’s dream to own and operate a bridal boutique since graduating from Old Dominion University with a degree in fashion merchandising and planning her own wedding back in 2016. “Our goal is to help the bride find the gown that will make her feel beautiful and confident on her wedding day. As the Bride’s personal stylist, I will respect her style preferences and budget” Alderman stated.
“We can’t wait to meet and cater to our brides-to-be. There is not a bridal boutique in Western Tidewater for brides-to-be to shop for their perfect wedding gown. We are excited to bring this service to future brides in the local area.” said Janowiak.
Allison Alderman will be working alongside her own mother, Virginia “Ginny” Slechta, who was Allison’s inspiration for the boutique’s name “Virginia’s Daughter”. “It has been both of our dreams to work alongside each other in this boutique” Slechta said.
Virginia’s Daughter Bridal Boutique will allow all future brides to schedule appointments online on our website at www.vadaughter.com with one of our stylists starting June 1, 2021. Future brides can also call 844-THE-GOWN to schedule an appointment.
Virginia’s Daughter will be open Wed-Saturday from 10am until 6pm and by appointment only Sun-Tues. Walk-ins welcome if there is a fitting room and stylist available. Appointments can be scheduled for walk-ins that cannot be accommodated immediately.
